Friends, as we approach Election Day on Tuesday, Nov. 5th, we have curated a few resources to support you and your congregation.

Read and share Bishop Poulson’s message about politics, faith, and the upcoming elections. Bishop shared this message with the Diocese on September 14th, Holy Cross Day. This is not a Pastoral Letter (canonically required to be read and/or provided to all in our congregations), but it is a resource that we hope you will find useful and will share.
For an Election (Book of Common Prayer, Prayers pg. 822)
Almighty God, to whom we must account for all our powers
and privileges: Guide the people of the United States (or of
this community) in the election of officials and representatives;
that, by faithful administration and wise laws, the rights of
all may be protected and our nation be enabled to fulfill your
purposes; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

Events
Join St. Paul’s Cathedral in Oklahoma City for an Election Night Prayer Vigil on November 4th, 6-8 p.m.
Everyone is invited to join Election Night Virtual Prayers hosted by The Episcopal Church Office of Government Relations from 8-10 p.m. Nov. 5. Bishop Sean Rowe, who will become presiding bishop on Nov. 1, will offer an opening reflection and prayer. Episcopalians from around the church will hold silence and lead participants in prayers together for peace, the nation, and all people and countries.
